Scottish Solar & Batteries is a trading name of Scot Energy Efficiency Ltd, company number 17408629, registered office 66 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NA. You can contact us at info@scottishenergyefficiency.co.uk or 0141 230 0198. This policy explains what cookies we use, why, and how you can control them.
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember things like your preferences and whether you have seen a message before. Cookies are not harmful to your device and do not contain viruses.
We group our cookies into two types:
These keep the website working properly. The only essential cookie we set stores your cookie consent choice (accepted or rejected) in your browser's local storage, so we do not show the cookie banner again on every visit. No personal data is collected by this.
If you click "Accept All Cookies" on our banner, we load Google Analytics 4 (GA4, measurement ID G-9W2Q869CEW). GA4 uses cookies to collect anonymous data about how visitors use our site — for example, which pages are most visited and how long people spend on the site. We use this information to improve the site. GA4 data is anonymised and aggregated; it does not identify you personally.
If you click "Essential Only", analytics cookies are not loaded and GA4 does not collect data. We use Google Consent Mode v2, which means GA4 is told that analytics storage is denied until you change your mind.
| Cookie / Storage | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| ssb_cookie_consent | Stores your cookie consent choice | Until you clear browser data | Essential |
| _ga | Google Analytics 4 visitor ID | 2 years | Analytics (opt-in) |
| _ga_G-9W2Q869CEW | GA4 session state | 2 years | Analytics (opt-in) |
You can control cookies in two ways:
If you delete the consent storage from your browser, you will see the cookie banner again on your next visit.
We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting cookies, or social media tracking cookies. The only third-party service that may set cookies is Google Analytics 4, and only after you have accepted analytics cookies. Google's own privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
We may update this cookie policy if we change the cookies we use. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
For questions about this cookie policy, contact us at info@scottishenergyefficiency.co.uk or 0141 230 0198. You can also read our Privacy Policy for full details about how we handle your personal data.
